Wonderful, Merciful Savior

You are a precious Redeemer and Friend.

Oh give me a heart to seek Your Will

To cherish obedience and holiness,

To humbly repent once again.

 

You are the One that I praise,

You are the One that I adore.

I want to grow in Your Word,

Feast on the solid, not milk,

I want to hunger for You more and more.

 

I am weak, oh Lord, and prone to complain,

I do not treasure the narrow road.

I wander from Your path,

And avoid unyielding truths,

I do not take up the lighter load.

 

Forgive me, my Father, take my hand,

Give me courage to seek out the truth.

Help me bow to Your Will,

Flee from temptation and sin,

Of Your Work, let my life be the proof.

 

Oh Wonderful, Merciful Savior,

My Precious Redeemer and Friend,

Give me grace to submit,

Give me strength to obey,

Give me life more abundant once again.
